I’ve got answers!  I’m Charles Carreon, former state court prosecutor and Federal Public Defender, and a dedicated ally of religious groups that use pharmacologically active sacraments in religious ceremonies. I advise psychedelic churches, medicine circles and visionary temples on how to protect their sacramental use of entheogens such as ayahuasca, psilocybin, mescaline, and 5-MeO-DMT under the First Amendment and the Religious Freedom Restoration Act.  I help them reduce legal risk, establish compliance strategies, and intervene with law enforcement when seizures of sacrament, investigations of church members, or ceremonial emergencies arise.  Thus I protect my clients from direct law-enforcement contact and preventing criminal escalation that can lead to prosecution.
