The problem with litigation is litigators. In order to be a good litigator, you have to be tough and tenacious. Litigators develop thick skins to endure setbacks and failures. The characteristics that make a good litigator don’t always make a good listener, a good client communicator, or a good negotiator.

I developed my approach to litigation and trials over the last twenty years, winning civil and criminal cases for plaintiffs and defendants in courthouses throughout Oregon and California. I won trials as a plaintiff’s lawyer, a county prosecutor, and a Federal defender. There are few problems that will darken a courthouse door with which I’m unfamiliar.

Taking what I learned from these diverse fields, I now focus on litigation consulting in federal lawsuits involving online businesses and intellectual property. I have particular expertise in cases involving the recovery of assets due to fraud, forgery, and identity theft, and business cases involving trade secrets, trademarks, intellectual property, and privacy claims.

As many people seeking lawyers to help them have discovered, it can be difficult to find an attorney who has the time to listen to a complex story and consider whether to take on your case.
